Afghanistan Consul General in Vancouver, Mohammad Salem Wahdat, participated at the first working luncheon at Organization of Islamic Cooperation countries (OIC) member representative in Vancouver at Turkey’s Consul General residence.
It was the first time that OIC country members held a meeting in Vancouver, Canada. At this meeting where Turkey’s Consul General, Anil Bora Anan was hosting, the OIC country member representative; Ms. Sri Wiludjeng, Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia, Mohammad Salem Wahdat, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohd adli bin Abdullah, Consul General of Malaysia, and Mohammad Tariq, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan participated.
At this meeting, the OIC country member representative not only talked about the charter of the cooperation but also said goodbye to the two members “Ms. Sri Wiludjeng and Mohd adli bin Abdullah”, as their missions ended as Consul General in Vancouver.
The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (The OIC) is an international organization founded in 1969, consisting of 57 member states, with a collective population of over 1.6 billion as of 2008. The organization states that it is "the collective voice of the Muslim world" and works to "safeguard and protect the interests of the Muslim world in the spirit of promoting international peace and harmony".
